On the 19th, 20th and 21st of September, the first
organized DOG SOLDIERS
from INDIAN BIKERS MC - SOUTH ITALY
MATERA CHAPTER
was carried out . The gathering was holden near the mouth of
the Basento river at Metaponto Lido in the province of MATERA,
a very beautiful naturalistic scenary in the typical Southern
Italian landscape and in a very equipped place ( the Magna Greece
camping) . INDIAN BIKERS did
a really good job and everything was wonderfully carried out
attracting the inhabitants ' attention by displaying the
multicolor bikers and their motor-cycles, some of which were crazily
personalized. Since Friday some motorcyclists had already begun
to arrive in scattered order. However, on Saturday there was a true
invasion, reaching the remarkable number of 1000 motor-cycles
and a (not quantifiable) crowd of very eccentric
characters< /U>, who animated the whole afternoon
participating in organized games, among which the push and bite
wuster of the beer stalk (?), thus enjoing themselves a lot and
amusing all the bikers and visitors of the manifestation. Many were
the MC groups present , some covering more than 800 Km, such
as the KANISTERS
from Como, the LOWLANDERS from
Reggio Emilia, the LONERS
from Messina, the RANDA
fromVarese, the GOLDENTREI,
the TROGLOS
and other free groups from all Italy. What struck everyone most
was the amount of the income, much less than the average income
of the gatherings that are carried out in the peninsula, which
pleased us a lot and gave the possibility to drink some more
glasses of beer. Another inportant point during the
three days of the gathering was the Saturday evening concert of
the fantastic WHITE SCULL:
the group leader , a girl with an extraordinary voice, stirred
up the audience's enthusiasm for more than two hours with a
very bellicose and refined rock . Finally, it must be
remembered that INDIAN BIKER MC
donated part of the proceeds.
